Community Guidelines
Together we keep this space safe, warm, and real.
The YANA Mom community exists to support mamas — not to judge, lecture, or harm. These guidelines exist to protect that spirit and ensure every mama who walks through our doors (digital or physical) feels safe.
Kindness First
Every mama here is doing her best. Lead with compassion and meet each other where you are.
Respect & Dignity
Treat every member with the same dignity you would want for yourself — in every message, comment, and interaction.
Confidentiality
What's shared in the community stays in the community. Respect the privacy of other mamas.
No Medical Advice
YANA is peer support, not medical or clinical care. Share experiences, not prescriptions. Direct others to professionals for medical questions.
Inclusive & Welcoming
Our community includes mamas of all backgrounds, life stages, and experiences. Celebrate our diversity.
Safety Above All
If you see content that threatens safety — yours or someone else's — report it immediately. Crisis support: call or text 988.
Respectful Communication
Disagreements happen — that's human. But personal attacks, name-calling, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Debate ideas, not people. If a conversation becomes heated, step back, take a breath, and return when you can engage constructively.
Confidentiality
Mamas share vulnerable, personal things in this community. Do not share another mama's stories, struggles, or identifying information outside of the community without her explicit consent. This includes screenshots and social media posts.
No Medical or Clinical Advice
YANA is a peer support community, not a medical or mental health service. Share your personal experiences freely, but do not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical advice. Always direct mamas seeking medical guidance to their healthcare provider.
